Ways to Wear: Printed Shorts

Hi there blogosphere! One of the major trends of this summer is shorts. Not just any kind of shorts though, printed shorts, and really more along the lines of interesting shorts in general. There are spiked shorts, leather shorts, glitter shorts, striped shorts, etc. To me it just seems like fashion decided that, "Hey! Why should shirts have all the fun?!" and I totally agree with that! Printed shorts can bring some excitement to a summer wardrobe, and definitely spice it up from the usual plain jean shorts. One thing I must say though, is that pulling off printed shorts can be difficult; with the more complex the print is, usually the harder it is to find something to wear with it. But have no fear my friend, this is where I come in to help! :) Today I decided to put together a set with six different looks utilizing the printed shorts trend. I hope this gives you inspiration to try this trend out on your own!

Stella McCartney: Autumn and Winter 2011 Collections

So I was recently browsing Stella McCartney's website, and I came across her amazing fall and winter collections, for this year. I really love a lot of the looks, but I'm just going to put a few of my favorites, on here. If you want to see the rest of each collection, you can click here for the autumn one, and here for the winter one.

Let's start off with the fall:

Love this dress! The lace is so trendy, and I like that the dress has a modern ballerina feel to it(Black Swan much??). <3

I like the whole vibe of this shirt, it's somehow modern and retro, at the same time. And didn't I say green was back??

I totally adore the nude color in this dress, and the leaves give the dress an elegant yet unique feel.

This look is the perfect blend of simple and chic!

I love how this dress is classy, but still very fun.

Now, here's a few looks from the winter collection:

I love that this look is still cute and girly, even though it's black.

I mean, what can I say, it's sheer and chic! :)

This dress is probably my favorite item in the winter collection, it's edgy and cool, but has a feminine touch.

This dress is simple yet modern, and it kinda has a sci-fi feel. Oh, and the fact that it includes two major trends(color blocking and bodycon) is a definite plus!

I adore this dress, it seems comfy, but it's still cute!

Thanks for reading today's post! Hope you liked it, and come back soon! :D

So Chill, So Summer- OOTD

Today's post is an "Outfit of the Day" post. I wore the outfit about a week ago, or so, but I'm just getting around to posting it. It includes the summer sweater, that I ordered form American Eagle, and talked about in another post, that you can find HERE. What I love about this outfit is that it's so perfect to wear while in the transition from the late summer into the fall, and I'm sure that with a little tweaking, it could even be worn in the winter. All and all, it's practically, a year round outfit! :)

Say Cheese! :)

My Beauty Pageant Stance ;)

Sweater- American Eagle, Jeans(that I rolled up a little bit)- JcPenney's, Shoes- Rack Room Shoes

This picture is my favorite! :)

Here's an up-close view of the shoes.

In this pic, you can see how the sweater has a relaxed fit.

The weird-ish white fog like stuff that's on my jeans, in some of these pics, is just streaking on the mirror, or if you'd like, we can say it was a ghost. ;)

On another note, I went to the beach the other day with a friend and my mom :), so here's a of the few pics. <3

The lovely view that we had :)

This is like the most amazing pic of me ever, okay, I'm probably exaggerating, but I love it so much! I guess looking in the mirror all the time, to take pictures for the blog, has paid off, by me learning what poses work well for me. :D

I drew my name in the sand and my friend drew the heart towards the top. :)

The girl in this picture(well besides me, of course) is one of my best friends, Anaya.

Well if you care to know, because this is a fashion blog, I'll tell you where my beachwear is from. Sunglasses- Charlotte Russe(they were a steal, for only $5.50!), Pink Cover-Up- Wal-mart, Swimsuit(even though you can't really see it)- Sears

Yup, we are definitely gangsters! ;)

OOTD: Black and Gray Goes a Long Way

Okay guys, so for today I have an outfit post of something I wore a few days ago. I think the outfit is pretty cute, and I hope you will too! :)

Skirt(used as dress)- Naval Exchange(NEX), Jean Shirt(used as jacket)- JcPenney's, Gladiator Sandals(not shown in this picture)- Target

I adore this pic, AND, many others that I used for this post :)

No make-up in any of these pics, so how do I look? ;)

Isn't it so wonderful when clothing items can be used in more than one way?? Both of these pieces are like that, and that's what makes them so great. Like for instance, if I never would have used this skirt as a dress, I wouldn't even have this outfit as an option.

I love that this skirt/dress covers to popular trends, without being too obnoxiously obvious about it.(the two trends: maxi length and horizontal stripes)

Sorry for the jacket's wrinkled-ness, it was like that because I had just untied it.

I love and hate this picture at the same time: I love my face and smile(it looks like I have dimples :D ), but I hate that I look kinda frumpy in this picture. :\

This skirt, when used as a dress, comes a few inches past the knee, at the upper calf. Those are the same sandals that I've in a few other OOTD posts, that's why it didn't really bother me that there isn't a clear view of them. If you want to see the shoes clearer you can look here and here.

I hate that this one is so blurry, but I like it so much that I used it anyway.

Please excuse all the mess in the background, or we can just pretend like you never even noticed it. ;)

I tried to edit this pic, a little bit on my computer, to help out with the blurriness, not so sure it helped...

This is just a cute pic of a leaf that I saw lying on the ground, just as it is in the picture, one day, while walking my dog. I thought it was really pretty(IT'S HEART SHAPED!!! :D), so I decided to snap a shot of it. :)
