Long Time, No See & Cold-Weather Accessories (Ways to Wear/My Obsessions Post)

Hi guys, I know it's been forever and a day(which equates to seven months) since I've last posted, but I am finally here again! Man how I have missed blogging, and it feels good to be back! How have you guys been?? This feels so much like one of those moments when you're in the grocery store and you see an old friend that you haven't talked to in ages. :)

Well anyway, enough with the chit-chat. Today's post is about something I would like to consider myself somewhat of an expert on, or at least an educated fan of: scarves. I love scarves and I feel like they can be some of the greatest accessories to add to almost any outfit! And with so many different colors and patterns, scarves are a sure way to express yourself and add a personal touch. Scarves can add a pop of interesting to a bland outfit or be the item to bring the whole outfit together.

A lot of people consider scarves to be a cold-weather accessory, but that my friend, is where they are mistaken! For me scarves aren't something you just throw-on when your neck might be a little chilly, they're something you can where ANYTIME, including in the summer! The trick is to make sure to wear a light-weight scarf so that your chic outfit addition is not making you anymore sweaty than need-be. Another trick for rocking a scarf in the heat is all in the way you wear it. Trust me, if your neck looks like it's being choked by fabric. . .then it probably is! Instead, the scarf should be worn in a way that drapes the clothing nicely, and doesn't have so much of a snug vibe to it.

I thought it be nice to do a little show-and-tell now, so here's a quick snapshot of my collection of scarves. :)

Yup, there's 13 of them now, and I'm going to keep on adding more! :)

To get everyone started(if you are new to the whole summer scarf idea) here is a set of some more scarves, that I love, and would be perfect to wear, even in the summer's heat! Also, further down below I've chosen three of those scarves and put outfits together with them, to give you some ideas on how to rock this type of look. :)

Accessorizing with Charlotte Russe

So today, I was thinking, what's an outfit without a little accessorizing? Well, if you are in need of some accessories, Charlotte Russe can definitely help you. They have the cutest stuff there, and plus all the accessories are ultra-cheap! If you haven't been there, then you need to go immediately! If you don't have a Charlotte Russe store, near you, then you can visit their website.

So anyway, let me get back to what I'm blogging about. I'm going to show you some of my fave accessories that they have on the site, and kinda review them. I'll work my way from head to toe, so I'm going to start with hats. Hope you enjoy!

Charlotte Russe- Open-Weave Straw Hat with Ribbon
This straw hat is just adorable! I love the ribbon, because it's cheetah print and because of the way it's in a perfect little bow. This is the perfect straw hat, to wear to an upscale, summer pool party.

Charlotte Russe- Side-Bow Chiffon Headband
This headband is so cute! It's ultra-girly and gives off a chic, retro vibe. I just love the bow print on it! It's a great accessory for adding a little pop to a bland outfit.

Charlotte Russe- Chiffon Leopard Head Scarf
I totally adore this! Head scarves are soo in right now, and of course, the leopard print wins me over even more! I wouldn't mind owning this piece, myself.
Charlotte Russe- Beauty Blossom Hair Pins
These hair pins are cute and very feminine. They would go PERFECT with a floral skirt!
Charlotte Russe- Round Brown Plastic Sunglasses

I'm totally diggin' these retro shades. They give of a cool 60's vibe. Can you say, The Beatles???
Charlotte Russe- Frosted Floral Sunglasses-in Orange
These sunglasses are just so fab! The floral print makes them super unique and I love the bright orange color. Why would anyone pass these up??
Charlotte Russe- Dangling Filigree Leaf Earrings
These earrings are great! They are so boho-chic, and would look great with a white maxi-dress!

Charlotte Russe- Faux-Gold Fan Necklace
This necklace, with turquoise accents, is definitely in trend right now. It would go great with a flowy dress!

Charlotte Russe- Plum Blossom Layered Necklace
This necklace is a beauty. It's chic and gives off an artsy vibe. I love the plum colored accents, and the flower!

Charlotte Russe- Striped Block Scarf with Fringe
I definitely like this scarf, it's casual, but still fashionable. I love the trendy striped detail. This would be great to wear on a chill day, out at the beach.

Charlotte Russe- Mesh-Knot Slinky Stretch Belt
This belt can add a little fashion to any outfit, it would go great with a fun tank!
Charlotte Russe- Green Stone Rectangle Ring
This ring is glamorous and sophisticated, perfect for wearing at a classy party.

Charlotte Russe- Hipster Owl Stretch Ring
No matter how much I don't like owls(I had a scarring experience in second grade, but that's another story), I can't help but to love this ring. This little nerdy owl is super cute, it might just turn ME into an owl lover! ;)
Charlotte Russe- Gold Plated Stretch Cuff
This bracelet is soo ancient...IN A GOOD WAY! It reminds of what a beautiful Roman goddess would wear. This is definitely something I would wear, it would look great with the American Eagle summer sweater that I ordered!
Charlotte Russe- Twist-Lock Folded Wallet
This wallet would be a great addition to anyone's handbag! The brown color and the brass accents work perfectly with one-another.

Charlotte Russe- Pebbled Double- Handle Hobo Bag
I love this last item, it can make any girl feel like a fashionista!

I just wanted to end this by saying, although I reviewed my favorite accessories, there are still MANY other great accessories, that I LOVE, on their website, so go and check it out!

In the Ring(Another Clever Title By Your's Truly ;D)

So today I got inspired on what to post about through my own wardrobe. The other day I bought this really cool ring(and surprisingly it's like the 1st ring I've really ever bought, along with the two other rings I bought with that one, including the bow ring in my last post) , which gave me the idea to make a set with some cute rings to spice up the usual summer wardrobe.

So first, here's the ring that inspired me:

So this is what started it all, and to think, it was only $1! What a steal!
This ring is from the store Glitter. Yep, the same store that I got my bow ring from in the "Bows, Tigers, Rhinestones-OH MY!" post. And yes, that ring was for a dollar too, that's because Glitter is a new accessory store, and basically everything in there is either 1 or 2 dollars.
I love the way rings look on the- wait, you guessed it- RING FINGER, I guess that's why it has that name.
If you look closely in this picture and in the 1st picture you can see, that where there are the little cut-out parts on the ring, it's actually different shapes. There's a 13, a 7, a fish, two little hearts, a flower(or a clover, not quite sure), and a spade. I think that's pretty snazzy, if I don't say so myself, and again- it was only a dollar so even better!

Now we get to the main course: my Polyvore set, in which I named, "Rings I <3." Hope you like it as much I did, and I hope this will encourage you to buy some rings of your own!
