Haul: Black Friday Buys- Part 1

If any of you are from the U.S. you know that, almost a month ago,Thanksgiving passed, and, of course, so did the day that all shoppers dream of: Black Friday. Like almost every other person in America, I went out shopping that night/morning, and I got a good amount of things. I made purchases from Macy's, JCPenney, XXI(Forever 21), and American Eagle.

Since I made quite a few buys, there are quite a few pictures to show, so I decided to split this up into two posts. Today, I am showing you all my purchases from Macy's, JCPenney, and American Eagle.

Macy's:
At Macy's I actually only bought one thing. It was this really chic hoodie that I found. Now this hoodie is not just your regular, plain-old hoodie, it's actually quite fashionable, cute, and even girly, and that's why I like it so much! I think it would be perfect to wear in the spring with a cute dress! It is cropped, and the hood has nice lace-like detailing, and one of my favorite things about it, is how the sleeves have almost a harem pants type of feel, because of the way the way it's baggy and then tightened at the wrist.

Baggy-sleeve action going on here :)

JCPenney:
At JCPenney I purchased a few cute things. I bought two shirts, a headband with a big sequined bow on it, and two little hair accessory sets. Altogether, I feel like I got nice pieces that are still unique and fun.

A plaid button-up is classic, and is essential to any wardrobe, but this one has bright colors, which gives it a fun twist.

I just love this tie-front top. It can take any outfit and add a little bit of a feminine flair.

Please excuse the spotty mirror, and by the way, the shirt is actually more gray and indigo-violet colored versus the white and gray colors that it seems to be in these pictures.

Little hair clips and bows, and other things of that nature, are always a perfect touch to an outfit, and these pieces are extra cute!

I love, Love, LOOVVEEE this headband! It's the perfect combination of girly and glam, and it has a slight touch of elegance. Plus, does anyone see those sequins?! :)

American Eagle:
I like to shop at American Eagle to find nice, simple pieces, that have some sort of special, cute thing about them. While there I ended up getting a pretty pullover, and a nice little skirt.

This shirt is soo comfy, and I love the colors in it!
P.S- You can buy it here on American Eagle's website.

This skirt is so cute! In this pic, you get to see the nice little details.

Thanks, everybody, for reading today! Come back soon for part 2 of this post, with all of my Forever 21 purchases! :)

OOTD- My Fall Uniform

Hey dolls! Today I have an outfit post, for you all, of an outfit I wore a few days ago. Lately, my go-to outfit has been the formula of cardigan+cute top+jeans+cute flats. I think it's probably because that little equation makes a perfect outfit for the fall and winter seasons; you get the perfect combination of cute and comfy! Also, I've noticed that there's like an infinite amount of ways to pull this look off, and it's super easy to pull it together, and both of those are definite pluses for me. It's great because I can just get up in the morning and quickly throw something together that actually looks really cute!

Okay, so here's the outfit, hope you enjoy!!

Cardigan- JCPenney, Floral Tank- Wal-mart, Jeans- JCPenney, Flats- Target, Hair Bow- Michael's

This tank was a great purchase, it's so cute and can be worn all year long if paired correctly.

Here you can see the bow(and me!) at a close-up angle.

I try out a little photo effects app on my iPod, and this is what I ended up with :)

My Obsessions: Glitter Shoes

Today I have a "My Obessions" post for you guys, on glitter shoes. If any of you have been looking around stores lately, you'll see that glitter heels are EVERYWHERE! In fact, seeing a pair of pinkish glitter booties at Charlotte Russe a few weeks ago, is kind of what sparked this whole thing. I mean, they are just so chic and can add a little glam to any outfit, and plus, what girl doesn't want a little sparkle in her life?!?! :)

So first, here's a couple of pics of the shoes from Charlotte Russe:

Aren't they just perfect?? Obviously, that was a rhetorical question, because OF COURSE they are!! When I saw them I died and went to glitter heaven! :)

Here's a shot of them on a high self. It's like if rainbows and fairies had a baby, then they would only ALMOST produce something this amazing!

If you would like to purchase these shoes or just look at them some more :) , than you can click the link here and it'll take you to Charlotte Russe's site and straight to the shoes.

Moving on- since this is an obsessions post, I couldn't just leave at that! I've also made a little set showing different ways to wear glittered shoes. The first look is cute and casual, the second, edgy and glam, and the third is girly and chic.

So, Let Me Reintroduce Myself...

Hey guys, happy belated Thanksgiving(well if you're in the U.S.)!! So I know it's been FOREVER, about two months, if I'm not mistaken. Now let me just say I'm not proud of myself for this, but I guess my absence has been a combination of many things, but all of that doesn't even matter now because this chica is back! Yes, finally, I'm here to do an actual post!

Now today's post is of something that you guys have been expecting, well....sort of. Remember how I promised to post all of the outfits that I wore on the first week of school? Well today is going to be a modified version of that, instead of doing the whole week, I'm just posting the first day. Why, you ask, because, to be honest, that's all I ever got around to taking pictures of. I know, I know, how lazy, right?? Well hey, I figure it's better than nothing, and plus I'm always wearing new outfits so you guys wont feel like you were missing out on anything much. ALRIGHT, enough with the chitter-chatter, let's get started.

P.S.- Sorry for the bad quality of these pics, but hey on the bright side, I'm getting a new camera for Christmas!! :)

Blouse- TJ Maxx, Jeans- JCPenney, Leaf Bracelet- Aldo, Bangle- American Eagle, Shoes- Target

Okay, so definitely not a great pic of me, but in this photo you can see the shirt in a little more detail.

Smile for the camera! :)

Just to let you guys know, the blouse is actually black(or maybe navy blue, it's kind of sheer so I'm not sure) and the other colors are the flowers on the shirt.

I love how this bracelet helped to create a whole "mother nature" theme to my outfit, when you combine it with the floral blouse!

This bangle also goes well with the theme, when you look at the pattern it kind of looks like plants or leaves.

These flats have been essentials in my life! They're great, and go with almost anything!
So that's all for this post, but before I go, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone, for still sticking around even though I was gone for awhile! I'm actually really surprised that I didn't go down in followers with not having posted for two months(in fact, I gained a few), but I guess you guys just have faith in me, and I am very grateful for that. So once again, thanks, and I can assure you that this time, months won't pass by before I post again!

Yayy!(One Lovely Blog Award and other stuff)

I know, I know, where the heck have I been, right?? Well... as you know, I go to school, and sadly, that has been taking up a lot of time, where I would have blogged instead. Hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to find a way to fit blogging, REGULARLY, back into my life. The other reason I haven't been blogging is because I did the dumb thing, of saying what my next post would be. So even when I could have been posting other stuff, I felt obligated to wait until I had that post ready. Luckily, I have finally given up that feeling of obligation. . .

Now, moving on to important stuff:

1) Today's post is not my first week of school outfit round-up post that I promised(it's still coming-by the end of this week- but just not today)

2) I received the One Lovely Blog award from my "blogger buddy", as I like to call her :) , or as you all might know her, the blogger behind The Girl With The Notepad. I'm sooo happy and thankful to receive this award, and that will, be the focus of this post.

and lastly: 3) this is my 50th post!!! I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's a small step towards the right direction! I hope to continue and reach many, many more 50 marks on this blog!! :)

Moving on:

One Lovely Blog Award

Again, I just like to say thanks to Emily (from The Girl With The Notepad) for nominating me, I'm so happy that you did! :) Along with the award, each nominee has to say seven facts about themselves, so here they go:

Seven Facts About Me:
1) When I was younger I used to live in Germany because my dad was in the army.

2) I have grown to know grilled cheese as being a breakfast food. In fact, I didn't find out it wasn't until sometime earlier this month.

3) I have an adorable dog named Rockey, who's a mix between a Bichon Frise and a long-haired Miniature Dachshund. Here's a few pics of him(in order from oldest to newest):

This was from Mother's Day of 2010, I made him a little hat that said Happy Mother's Day on it! And yes, he was on top of the washing machine, but don't worry I kept my eye on him the whole time, and it was just while I took pictures. No dogs were harmed. :)

This was from the past winter, and we weren't sure if he would get cold, so we got him a sweater. Let's just say that didn't go well, and we don't try to dress him up anymore, but we did get some great pictures(the whole time he looked like he was just posing and smiling for the camera)! :D

Here's a more recent picture, from sometime this summer. This is basically just how he sleeps, adorable isn't it!?! :)

4) I love to write songs, poetry, and lots of other little things. It's kinda of my secret obsession(well not really secret).

5) My favorite dessert is probably brownies. I just LOVE them, they're sooo delicious!! Oh and while we're at it, my favorite after-school or late-night snacks are chips and salsa or a bowl of cereal.

6) I want to travel the world someday. I think it would be great to visit different countries and learn new cultures. In particular, I would want to visit Australia and New Zealand, because they both just seem like amazing places to go to. Speaking of traveling- when I am grown-up I think, that if I didn't still live here in Virginia, I would like to live in either New York City or somewhere in California. They both are MAJOR places here in the United States, and I think they would be great areas to kick off my adult life and career.
(Sorry, I kinda cheated on this fact, making it a two-fer!)

7) Something that I have the most absoulte dislike for are rollercoasters!!! I actually like almost everything about them, except for the drops. I'm not afraid of the heights so much as I can't stand the feeling you get when you drop, it's such a wretched sensation! I wish that feeling didn't feel so bad to me, because it would make my time at amusement parks more fun, but I guess there's nothing I can do. :(

Okay, so there you go, seven facts about me (if you want to know a little more, you can check out my About Me page), now my duty, as a nominee, is to past it to other blog(s). So here are my nominees:

Princesses with Crowns

P.S- I would nominate The Girl With The Notepad, but of course I can't do that, since she nominated me. :D

That's all for today. Thanks everyone, for sticking with me, through all of this lack of posting that I have been doing!!! Hope to be posting again SOON!  :)
